An introduction to our new vocalist

Well he's not new, but Chris on tenor sax has recently started singing with us; here he introduces himself:

"I have spent many years playing guitar, saxophone and singing in local bands to all kinds of crowds performing numbers such as “Baker Street, How Long” to name a few. Over the last ten years though I put more emphasis on saxophone playing with a view to joining a Big Band.

At the beginning of this year the opportunity came to join the Belvoir Big Band as a Tenor Player. Joining such a great team has been very rewarding and strengthened my playing and musical skills.

Recently the band was looking for a singer, so I volunteered, and as of now, we are able to add diversity to the bands ever increasing play list. I have been asked for other vocal numbers to be added so watch out for new numbers as the band progresses. Fantastic to be part of this very enjoyable Big Band.
